These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CiteClear, operated by DAS Group LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By using the site or tool, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

CiteClear is a citation verification and source-quality review tool. It offers deterministic preflight checks based on the text you provide and may offer optional AI-assisted review for tasks such as quote mismatch detection, claim-to-source alignment, and source credibility review.

2. Review Responsibility

CiteClear helps surface citation risks, but you remain responsible for the final document you publish, file, submit, or circulate. You are solely responsible for:

• Reviewing all flagged issues and recommendations.
• Confirming that your citations are accurate and appropriate for your context.
• Using qualified human review when the stakes require it, including legal, academic, regulatory, financial, or public-facing work.

3. No Professional Advice

CiteClear is not a law firm, academic review board, investment adviser, or professional services firm. Nothing in the product constitutes legal advice, academic approval, regulatory advice, or any guarantee that a document is fit for use in a specific proceeding or publication.

4. AI-Assisted Review

If you choose to continue to AI-assisted review, your text may be processed by the configured third-party AI provider. That step is optional and subject to the provider's own terms and policies. CiteClear does not control third-party provider behavior.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use CiteClear to:

• Fabricate, disguise, or launder false citations.
• Misrepresent unreviewed outputs as fully verified professional work.
• Violate applicable law or the rights of others.
• Probe, disrupt, or abuse the service or connected providers.

6. Payments

If you purchase a paid plan or use a payment link, payment processing is handled by Stripe or another designated processor. Additional billing terms may apply at checkout.

7. Intellectual Property

The CiteClear brand, site design, software, and underlying workflow are owned by DAS Group LLC. Subject to these Terms, you retain rights to the text you provide and to the reports you export for your own internal or client work.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DAS Group LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of CiteClear. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update the service or these Terms from time to time. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to DAS Group LLC, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
